Young Adult Book Recommendations

Dystopian

Dystopian fiction — novels set in problematic worlds where society, or governments, enforce horrible standards in the name of the greater good — is a highly popular genre, and one regularly explored in young adult fiction.  Some of the most famous young adult serials over the decades have been dystopian, such as Uglies and The Hunger Games.  We have a variety of dystopian fiction for you to explore in our libraries, but you may like to start with one of those recommended below.
