Library Staff Recommendation
Wow! This book certainly packed a punch, and I could not put it down! Be warned though, it is deeply disturbing and confronting. You find yourself not wanting to turn the page when you see it coming but find you have to.
A family living at the base of the Grampians in the 1950’s. Dad died in WW2 so just Mum and 2 brothers. One brother discovers the world through painting, and we follow his unusual life.
Beautifully written, but again, not everyone will like this book.
