There are two main characters in this novel. Angie, the first character is struggling to deal with the loss of a baby and the breakdown of her marriage, so she returns to her family in her hometown in an attempt to recover from her losses. Laruen is a teenager to a single mum struggling with drugs and alcohol. Lauren suffers on a daily basis to go to school and works to pay the rent and put food on the table. The two women meet, and so begins a journey of healing for both of them.
A very heart warming and emotional story so real it could be an autobiography. It reflects on the impact that your choices have on your life starting out as a young woman and the journey that it takes you on. An enjoyable and well written story.
