Journey back in time with Fanny Brockman, a firsthand witness to the early days of the Margaret River region. Through her detailed diary, spanning the late 19th century, experience the challenges and triumphs of pioneer life.

Born Frances Louisa Bussell, Fanny was part of the Bussell family’s pioneering legacy in the region. Her father, Alfred, was one of the original Bussell brothers to settle in Augusta in the 1830s. Growing up amidst the construction of the family’s homestead, Ellensbrook, Fanny’s diary offers a unique glimpse into the lives of early settlers in the South West.
