International Literacy Day

September 8th is International Literacy Day, which has been celebrated since 1967!  It highlights literacy as a fundamental human right, however, one in seven adults lacks basic literacy.  In our Literacy, Language & Learning section, we have many books targeted at people who are beginning their literacy journey, or in the middle of improving their literacy.  The books come in a variety of reading levels, ensuring people can find something that is at the right level for them.  If you know someone who needs help improving their English literacy, please direct them to this area!  Below are examples from reading levels one to six, in order.
