In the process, she escapes into fantasies about characters and relationships long ago. It becomes difficult to discern which is real. How will she end up?
Initially, I wondered if it was my sort of book, but the plot developed and I enjoyed the unusual theme, although I was a little confused at times about who was who in the timeline.
