This is a book of amazing insights by an amazing writer! Her husband was George Johnston and together they enriched Australian writing, his famous book being My Brother Jack.
The first part of this book is Charmian’s autobiography, thinly disguised. The rest is her thoughtful essays. The End of the Morning is a short read, then also read some of her essays.
