This is the 15th Isabel Dalhousie novel.
Isabel is a philosopher, owner, and fulltime editor of a philosophical journal. In this tale she is faced with novel challenges. Dawn, a nurse, is let down by her lover and needs a place to live. The pompous and slippery professor planning a prestigious conference has involved Isabel. But look at the budget — large payments for the professor and his assistant. Intriguing problems in a book group threatened by discord and bickering. Isabel remains calm, has a clear head to resolve all of these issues and more.
“Agape” — unconditional love — that was the answer to everything.
