Library Staff Recommendation
A gritty yet lyrical novel telling the story of a Moari boy and his brother and the hardships they face. Not only are they living in poverty, isolated from the rest of society, but they soon find themselves having to deal with the death of both parents alone. Family secrets reveal themselves and they’re not all pretty.
Dark and exquisitely written.
