The author is a professor of literature and environment and lives of the grid in the Western Great Basin Desert in Nevada, America with his wife and two very young daughters.
This book describes in short chapters the trials, tribulations and humour of living in the middle of nowhere. A book where one can read a few chapters and put down for a while. Interesting chapter on removing a bee swarm from the house wall, plus another on water divining.
