Book Award Announcement

2024 Miles Franklin Literary Award

The winner of the 2024 Miles Franklin Literary Award has been announced.  This is awarded each year to a novel which is of the highest literary merit and presents Australian life in any of its phases.  From a longlist of ten titles, Praiseworthy by Alexis Wright was selected as this year’s winner.  This is her second time winning the award, which also won the Stella Prize earlier this year.
